Good breakfast, good service, huge bed, large outside seating area, friendly staff, location, cleanliness.

No mirror above dressing table, no drawers in room, silly rigid taps in middle of wash basin which you bang your head on when you bend over to rinse your face, (thanks for the nice bruise on my forehead) spy hole to high for short people and body wash/shampoo dispenser at wrong end of bath.

The convenience of a night's stopover en route north.

      Location to race course

Room was tatty, broken windown and door closer

pub/restaurant both available, but would have liked the bar open later as when we got back from Newbury racecourse we would have liked to have a drink, about 11.15 pm especially as I was driving and couldn't drink when we were out.

The restaurant next door is very convenient and Breakfast is good

My bed was harder than I would have liked

room was comfortable and clean just what I needed after being at a wedding all day.

Had to pay £15.00 for 1 hour early check-in which I thought was a lot of money considering my room was vacant and clean and nobody else would be using it for the hour before I turned up and therefore thought the extra charge was avoidable on your behalf. Did call a week ago to enquire about early check-in and was told it should be fine as long as room was available but no charge was mentioned at the time.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

Meals were in the pub next door and the breakfast was excellent - but don't eat in the pub in the middle of the afternoon when they are not busy. The chips were full of grease and were so brown they looked as though they had been cooked twice. The tuna and mayo sandwich was good but the long hair I found in the salad was very off-putting!! (I still have the photo on my mobile). No air conditioning in the rooms and no lift.

We were very disapointed in the service in restaurant we had to wait over 2 hours for our meal even though we booked a table, which when it turned up was mostly cold This was a little embarrising for the people we met who live locally as they recommended it We ended up with only having had a starter the rest was sent back The duty manager expected us to pay for our drinks which we refused to do due to the extremely poor service

A good position with good access to the a34. Very country type pub attached with good food. For those disabled like myself the entrance, exits and pathways to the pub have very good access.

Almost everything; We arrived around 4.30pm.The initial impression was not too welcoming. We had to ring the counter bell three times before we were attended to. Eventually we were shown to our room only to be told that the laundry had not delivered clean bedding. My husband and I (we are both in our mid 70's and I am disabled) had travelled from Cheshire and we were both very tired and we had nowhere to have a rest. The bed was swiftly and roughly made around 6.45pm - with none of the 'nice touches' like throws etc. as Lenny Henry would have us believe. We never saw them change the quilt cover and forgot because we were so tired. Then as I sat on the bed I noticed a length of cobwebs on the skirting board at the side of the bed about 2ft long. The receptionist came with a spray cleaner and removed it. The whole room had a grubby feel to it. A beautiful bathroom was spoiled by a dirty toilet basin and no small travel toiletries - soap would have been nice but only a hand soap dispenser. The only good thing to come out of this was the receptionist thought we had been badly treated and did not charge us the £95.00 We would have preferred to have been charged and had a decent stay. This was our first experience of a Premier Inn but do not feel inclined to rush back.

If this had been our first experience of Premier Inn we would never have booked with this chain again. The rooms are cramped, there is no sound proofing. You can hear the TV.s in the rooms either side and the noise from the road is unnaceptable in a hotel which purports to guarantee a quite nights sleep.

On arrival a good restaurant to have a meal.

      Large clean room

I like to read in bed but the bedside lighting is very dim, as in many Premier Inns Dining room was very understaffed on the day we stayed.
